A Bit About Me

My name is Jo Penney known as JoP and hence my blog is called joppy which could stand for something so I am making it stand for Jo Penney Posted to You but originally it was just the way I used to sign my initials at work and my boss at the time started calling me joppy. It has stuck!

I am a mum to two beautiful and clever grown up daughters both of whom inspire me. Also Grandma to one little boy. I live with my talented fiancĂ©  Si and recently moved just over 2 years ago from seaside to countryside and now I live just next to the border of  Exmoor, North Devon, England. I am missing being by the sea, but I am loving my escape to the country even more.
Here I am swinging on the weeping willow in my garden over the stream which feels a bit daring - will the rope snap will I fall into the stream!!
Crafting for me has always been in my family as long as I can remember and I have always wanted to make it my business. I recently re-joined Stampin' Up as an independent demonstator after a year or so break after covid lock downs on 2020/21. During this time I dropped paper crafting for a while and really found my mo-jo in other crafts that I had been longing to do and had not been able to due to being a demonstrator and feeling that I needed to be making blogs and
I recently realised that I was spending more on making cards than I wanted to, and my scrapbooking was about two years behind!  I now focus more on the scrapbooking which is actually a lot cheaper and I enjoy it more). I utilise the lovely Stampin' Up designer series paper offering and co-ordinating card, ribbon and bits and bobs and combine this with die cut shapes and cutting using my electronic cutting machine.
I discovered it for myself as a much better option and far less crafting space required to store things as I was using everything up and that felt very satisfying.
Also having just one set of co-ordinating products in front of me helped me to avoid crafters block,I wasn't frozen by choices. I hope it will also save you tonnes of time shopping for products when you could be crafting!
