Snowman Cards from Tuesdays Class

Here are the snowmen cards we made at class this week! I love this cheeky set and it is my Jop2Y this month - if you order the bundle (which consists of the Snowman Season stamp set and snowman builder punch) you get for FREE all the bits and bobs you will need to make these 3 cards and the little box posted to you with a small postage fee in a box!! Full instructions come along with the delivery. Note the bundle includes the card pieces cut to size but it does not include: adhesive, memento black and real red ink, colouring pencils or pens. See on my page above 'JoP Posted to You - monthly kit box' Make use of the papers to cut out little details in the papers such as the hats! The glitter circles in the background are leftover from the red glitter circle frames.  This card has utilised the arms from the snowman builder punch to look as if they are holding the selfie frame!  This box fits a snowman chocolate perfectly - put on your christmas table as a treat!

Bordering on the Weekend - With Snowglobe Scenes Dies

Its Friday and bordering on the weekend and I have bits all over my craft desk!! I went shopping this morning and there were no spaces in the car park it was so busy! I went to a different shop.  Friday is when I turn to scrapbooking and I have a lot of photos to catch up on - these were from two years ago when I visited Canada to see my Abbi with Lisa. It was December and the weather was bright and sunny. The mountains were beautiful!   The photos are perfect for my border using the little trees and the bears from the snow scenes dies and I made my bears brown as in Grouse Mountain they have two brown bears that have been rescued and stay in the resort. (Although they were in hibernation when we were on that visit - we have seen them when we have travelled there in the summertime and it was a privilege.) I chopped off the bottom pieces on the tree dies and just laid them every which way in green and glittered white card. I added snow from the stamp set in pool party ink to

Snow Globe Extra

Here are a couple of ideas and alternative ways to use your snow globe shaker domes.  I know a fish mad person who would appreciate this card for Christmas but you could easily change it up and make it into a Birthday card. The above photo shows the dome upside down to make a fish bowl shape. Instead of filling it with sprinkles, I put water in it!! This needs to be done with a little care and it really helps if the sticky layer if taken off the back of the dome before you pour and the water is in a small jug.  Before that though the first step is to cut the aperture and attach the front check piece to the dome front, then flip it over and fill carefully from the jug of water taking care not to splash. You can then simply stick on a piece of window sheet or a small piece of plastic packaging to the back. The stamping and the cut trees in the background are all behind the window sheet and hence are not getting wet! Therefore you just decorate a piece of white card in th

Snow Globes Class project this week.

My Tuesday class project last night was 4 little projects from the Snow Scenes stamp set and Snow Globes dies. If you were not able to participate here are the project samples and instructions.  Shaker Card  Cut an aperture into the patterned paper but ensure you leave a space to put your greeting and snow globe stand. Line up the white backing card with the aperture to establish where you will place you images for the snow globe bit of the card. (pencil a light mark) Peel the front of the plastic snow globe sticky tape and line the patten paper over the top to adhere. Press down firmly. Stamp the house image with brown or black ink onto a spare piece of card. Colour in with markers and cut out with die. Adhere your globe images to the backing card using your pencil lines as a guide. Put the front of the globe upside down in front of you and fill with shaker materials. Ensure the material is away from the edges, peel off the sticky strip on the back of the globe. Glue t
