Musical Themed Cards

 I recently made a couple of my musical friends a birthday card.
I used the lovely 'Music from the Heart ' stamp set and stitched squares from the "Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies' The background paper  is from the Peaceful Poppies DSP pack. I bought the little treble clef charms from E Bay!
The card above I stitched a panel of Designer Series Paper to the card before adding the stamped and side cut images.

Post it note Holder using Golden Honey Papers - updated imperial measurements for box included.

The Golden Honey Papers in their pristine black white and gold said 'office stationery ' to me and so I used them together with the Honey Bee stamp set and Detailed Bee dies to make some coasters, a gift box holding 6 notecards and envelopes, a post it note holder and a cute giant paperclip topper. I put the photo onto a Facebook page that is for Stampin' Up demonstrators today and was totally overwhelmed by the response and requests for instructions on how to make the post it note holder - so I have quickly put this post together and it is mostly a photo show of the instructions because that was the fastest way I could do it! To make this desktop holder you will need some basic black cardstock. The holder has been made to fit post it notes that measure 3 x 3 inches. I originally made it around the post it notes in and cut in centimetres - So I have taken the original box apart and measured it all and have put some photographs of the measurements and how to put it to

Joppy goes Blog Hoppy

Hello, I love that I can make a rhythm out of joppy and hoppy - its always a struggle thinking of a blog title! Welcome to anyone who has not visited my blog before, I have a fairly new blog, have not participated in the blog hop before and so its especially great to see you! I had a lovely open house last Saturday and invited some of my crafting friends to come and look at what the new Spring/Summer catalogue has to offer and I made some cards to display and the cards I have put up for the blog hop today I made with a stamp set featured on page 44. called Best Catch and co-ordinating Catch of the day thinlits dies. I haven't seen very much on the Internet or on Pinterest anywhere made with this set so I am especially pleased to show you this great set. There is one very special man in my life to whom I recently became engaged and he loves fishing so I thought this set would come in handy. Playing with Different Coloured Circles

  I thought I would share with you another set of cards and technique that Learned recently on the Creative Card Retreat I attended. I am catching up with some of the presentations still and this tutorial came from one of the Creative team Jackie Bolhuis. These are the cards I made and the envelopes to match and you may just be able to see the inside decoration for the end card in the photograph! The cards look really striking in the new bright in-colours and you simply cut four circles in different graduating sizes using a circle punch - I used my layering circles dies. The you cut them in half on your trimmer. Then arrange. So this is how I layered up my half circles and then the photograph belo shows how I arranged them onto the card. Then simply add a sentiment to the card. The bright colours look great with black but what about trying pastels or a gradient of the same colour, or even glitter card - what about stitched circle dies?
