Babywipe Technique

The bee stamps and dies from Honey Bee stamp set were used on these two cards along with some paper from the 'See a Silhouette' designer series paper. The paper has some super colourful designs which I love love love and one of the designs has hexagons. I cut around some of the shape and added it to the card and then stamped using Babywipe technique.
Babywipe technique is a technique where you make your own colourful ink pad using about 4 baby wipes folded in half inside a plastic sandwich container (the chinese takeaway type). You add drops of ink from your watercolour reindeer refits. I used 3 colours : night of navy, real red and daffodil delight. Drop the colours onto the baby wipe stack and they gradually spread out and join up to each other until the whole surface is covered. It is then ready to use as an ink pad.
If you put the lid on your sandwich container this lovely ink pad lasts two to three days.
TIP - when you are inking your stamps be sure to keep the stamp in the same place on the pad while you are inking up - if you move it around too much you end up with a grungy brown colour!
I finished the card with a wee bit of pint pricking in the corners and stamped the sentiment using another stamp in the Honey Bee stamp set.
