Birthday Wishes Card

I made this card ages and ages ago at a retreat but I hadn't finished off the front panel as I didn't know what to put on it. I had already used some ribbon and I was stuck. I just got these cut out sentiments from the Spring / Summer catalogue 'Well written framelit dies' They are on page 27 and I thought they would come in useful. I bought the bundle with the 'well said' stamps but if you only wanted the framelits they are £37.00. They include 24 dies and not all are sentiments but some handy images also. I am sure I will be featuring this set over the next couple of years!!
The stamp set and papers used are from the Tropical Escape suite on page 120 and 121 of the annual catalogue. This die with the square and cut out rain forest type of leaves is the reason I love the set and I have some other projects to show you soon on my blog but at the moment they are on display in my local library until the end of February so I will post some more using this set when I go and get them.
I used the hole maker handle punch as pictured to remake the dots over the 'i' because they got lost in my shaggy carpet which is also pink! Recently I found out that this punch - which I find very handy for tags etc. is going into low stock and is not going to continue in the catalogue as an offering due to the manufacturer stopping making it. So if you would like one contact me - it punches a 1/8th inch hole and costs £8.25.

I originally didn't have a black mat on the front of this card and the words didn't really show up enough for me - so I have taken a picture so you can see the difference that a small adjustment can make.

Its always worth trying that extra something to get a great result. As I am typing this the sun is streaming through the window and so I'm going to make the most of early spring sun and go and walk down to the see the sea! I hope its lovely where you live.
