Scrapbooking and Memory Keeping. Crafting Supplies and Inspiration

The New Catalogue is now Live!

Another amazingly hot day and time to get inside and in the shade for some scrapbooking. I have not done any scrapbooking for a while and I have 3 holidays and 2 years to catch up on plus a puppy and tonnes and tonnes of cute photos I have taken of him, now 8 months and still posing regularly! I used some designer Series paper from the new catalogue called Forever Greenery. I also used the co-ordinating stamp set Forever Fern and dies Forever Flourishing Dies. Whoever makes up all the names of the Stampin' Up products has a fun job! I even used one of the sentiments as above in close up.
I used my usual creative process when I buy co-ordinating products and stamped in coordinating colours and die cut lots of images and sentiments and then have fun arranging them on the page along with the photos and journalling spots. Once I am happy I then have a tricky job of trying to glue it all down without forgetting where I placed them - so I sort of sneak in with the tape runner. There is now a new tape runner in the catalogue called 'seal' see page 162 of the new catalogue (online or paper copy) and if you are spending over £50 with me this month and use my hostess code you will get a free one to try out from me as a thank you.
There is a co-ordinating trim combo pack with this suite and it has a gold thread and a linen weave ribbon - I used the gold thread to cascade down the side of this part of the layout above.
Putting together the bunches of ferns and leaves once they have been stamped and die cut - or just die cut is fun and you can layer them on top or underneath photo layouts. I cut some in vellum and they give another dimension. The suite also comes with some gold rings and I used one yesterday on my blogged card - here is another use as a beautiful wreath tucked into the side of the photograph. Some of the dies and stamps are designed to work well with these gold rings.
I really went to town on my second page and made a bigger wreath - or half wreath coming out of the strip of four photos. The designer series paper is also on the layout and with matching cardstock in the new in-colour called 'Just Jade' it stops the busy patterned paper overpowering everything, and it is available in mixed colour packs of 12x12 inch as well as A4. This paper really does lend itself to scrapbooking as most of my photos are seaside or garden scenery so I can see it will get a lot of use. It was Simon's birthday in lockdown last week and we celebrated by having a picnic with my daughter and Wallace in the garden. It was such a small table we were struggling to put all the picnic food on the table. There is a beautiful shady spot right near the stream and under a weeping willow. I really think I am going to use some of this DSP to scrapbook these birthday photos as well! If you want to order anything from the new catalogue you can contact me directly as I will be placing an order at the end of today, OR you can head over to my online shop and order directly and have the order directly shipped to you. Don't forget to check out the new in-colours and this lovely Forever Greenery Suite.
I hope you are keeping well and staying alert.
Love JoPx
